Mumbai: The historical film starring Vicky Kaushal has been a huge success at the box office both domestically and globally. Chhaava is very close to crossing the ₹500 crore mark worldwide in just 12 days of its theatrical release. The film based on the life of Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and his fight against Mughal emperor Aurangzeb crossed the ₹350 crore mark at the Indian box office on Tuesday.
In Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent speech, Chhaava, which was directed by Laxman Utekar, was given special attention.
Reports state that Chhaava, which starred Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, brought in ₹70 crore worldwide and ₹413.35 crore in India. By Tuesday, the end of Day 12 of its release, Chhaava had made ₹483.35 crore worldwide.
The film is predicted to shortly surpass ₹500 crore worldwide given its pace and the absence of any significant competition at the box office.

Famous film critic, Taran Adarsh too posted on rocketing box office collection of the movie.
After a 50 percent drop in earnings on Monday and almost no change on Tuesday, the film Chhava is now eyeing the Mahashivratri holidays to revive its box office numbers.
Data indicates that on Tuesday, Day 12, the Vicky Kaushal-starring film brought in ₹18 crore at the Indian box office. During its 12-day theatrical run, the film also managed to surpass the ₹350 crore milestone, earning ₹363.25 crore.

Chhaava is now the 18th highest-grossing Bollywood film at the global box office, as per the report. It has made a greater profit than Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 (₹472.77 crore), Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki (₹470.60 crore), and Hrithik Roshan’s War (₹466.82 crore). Now, the Vicky Kaushal film is getting closer to surpassing Ranbir Kapoor’s Sanju, which earned ₹541.76 crore worldwide.
