Mumbai: Ahead of the release of Raj Kundra’s upcoming movie ‘UT69’, Raj Kundra left the internet shocked with his latest tweet. Without elaborating much, he wrote, “We have separated and kindly request you to give us time during this difficult period”.
While many netizens wondered if he has parted ways with his actress wife, a section also termed it a promotional gimmick.
Earlier on Thursday, the trailer of the movie UT69 was revealed. The trailer gives a glimpse of Raj’s experience in Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail because of his alleged involvement in a pornographic content case.
The movie UT 69 is scheduled to release on November 3. From being recognised as Shilpa Shetty’s husband or a Big Boss contestant, Raj Kundra struggles to adjust to constant ridicule inside the jail, populates the trailer. The movie is Raj’s debut.
Raj Kundra was arrested in July 2021 for allegedly producing pornographic videos and was granted bail in September in the same year. He was booked relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, the Indecent Representation of Women (Prevention) Act, and the Information Technology Act. Since his release from the jail, Raj has been seen wearing a mask. For the first time in months, Raj Kundra unmasked himself during a press conference on Wednesday.
For the unversed, Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty are an Indian businessperson and actress couple. They were married in 2009 and have two children together, a son Viaan and a daughter Samisha.
Kundra is a successful businessman with interests in a variety of industries, including cricket, entertainment, and real estate. He is also the co-founder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Rajasthan Royals.
