Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film, ‘Leo,’ continue to make waves at the global box office. On October 24, the film achieved a remarkable feat by collecting over Rs 30 crore net in India, although there was a slight dip compared to the collections from the previous day. Nonetheless, the film’s performance at the box office remains strong. As of today, October 25, the real test begins for ‘Leo’ as the Dussehra holidays have drawn to a close.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Leo’ made its grand entrance into theaters on October 19, with eager anticipation from audiences who had marked it as one of the most highly anticipated films of 2023.
On its first Tuesday, October 24, ‘Leo’ experienced a marginal decrease in its collections. Early trade estimates suggest that it still managed to amass an impressive Rs 31.50 crore net in India. The film is now on the cusp of crossing the Rs 250-crore milestone in India.
The six-day total collection for ‘Leo’ in the domestic market now stands at Rs 248.60 crore. On October 24, the film recorded an occupancy rate of 65.79 percent. ‘Leo’ marks the second collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, following the success of ‘Master.’ The film features a screenplay written by Lokesh, Rathna Kumar, and Deeraj Vaidy. This action-packed entertainer boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Sandy, and Gautham Menon in pivotal roles. Supporting roles feature Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and several others.
‘Leo’ is produced by Seven Screen Studio and features music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The film’s crew also includes cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa and editor Philomin Raj.
‘Leo’ continues to impress at the box office, and the audience’s enthusiasm remains unabated as the film inches closer to the Rs 250-crore milestone in India.
