Chengalpattu: Thalapathy Vijay’s much-awaited film, Beast, hit the theatres on April 13th. His ardent fans erected massive cut-outs, poured milk over them and burst crackers to celebrate the arrival of Beast. In the Tambaram area of Chengalpattu, Vijay’s fans distributed 1 litre of petrol to 100 two-wheeler owners. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Beast is a hostage thriller, produced by Sun Pictures.
Thalapathy Vijay and Pooja Hegde-starrer Beast went on floors last year. The film was released on several thousand screens across the globe. Beast has been receiving mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike. The fans association in Tambaram decided to distribute petrol as the prices of fuel have been increasing every day.
“We, Vijay fans, celebrate our favourite stars every film release. This year, there was no release on Pongal but today, with the release of Beast, we are super happy. So, we decided to do something unique and decided to give 1 litre of petrol to 100 fans who came in two-wheelers to watch the film,” they said.
Nelson Dilipkumar’s Beast saw Thalapathy Vijay playing the role of RAW agent Veeraraghavan. The film’s trailer was a huge hit among fans. Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu, VTV Ganesh and Aparna Das play important roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music for Beast.
