The blockbuster film ‘Leo,’ a collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, is on the path to crossing the coveted Rs 500 crore mark worldwide. As part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), this action thriller witnessed a significant dip in its box office collection on October 25. The decline in audience attendance coincided with the conclusion of the Dussehra holiday period, although the film continues to maintain double-digit earnings in India, as per trade reports.

‘Leo,’ featuring Thalapathy Vijay, was one of the most eagerly awaited films of 2023, hitting screens in multiple languages on October 19.

Under the directorship of Lokesh Kanagaraj, ‘Leo’ inches closer to the remarkable milestone of Rs 500 crore worldwide. However, it faced a considerable drop in collections on October 25, just after the Dussehra holidays. Initial estimates suggest that ‘Leo’ managed to garner a net collection of Rs 12.50 crore in India on that day.

This cumulative seven-day collection in India reaches Rs 262.30 crore net. Notably, on October 25, ‘Leo’ registered a collection of 34.71 percent. Ahimsa Entertainment, the film’s distributors in the United Kingdom, celebrated it as the highest-grossing Tamil film. It generated an impressive 1.36 million Euros (approximately Rs 11 crore) within just seven days.

‘Leo’ marks the second collaboration between Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj, following their previous hit ‘Master.’ The film’s screenplay is credited to Lokesh Kanagaraj, Rathna Kumar, and Deeraj Vaidy. This action-packed entertainment boasts an ensemble cast, including Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Sandy, and Gautham Menon in pivotal roles. Supporting roles feature Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, and several other talented actors.

With ‘Leo’ continuing to make waves at the box office, its overall success in the cinematic world remains a testament to the enduring popularity of Thalapathy Vijay and the artistic vision of director Lokesh Kanagaraj.
