After a week in theaters, the performance report for “Crakk: Jeetega… Toh Jiyegaa” is out. Directed by Aditya Datt, the film experienced a decline in box office numbers on Thursday, generating ₹0.80 crore. Cumulatively, the action-packed feature has garnered ₹12.35 crore as of now. The storyline follows a man hailing from Mumbai’s slums who ventures into the realm of extreme underground sports. Starring Vidyut Jammwal, Nora Fatehi, Arjun Rampal, and Amy Jackson, “Crakk” hit the screens on February 23 and is a joint production by Vidyut Jammwal and Abbas Sayyed.

Despite its star-studded cast and action-packed premise, the film has received a lukewarm response from critics. One review awarded “Crakk” a mere 1 out of 5 stars, criticizing its lack of apology for its content. The critic remarked, “Crakk is absolutely unapologetic about what it is foisting upon us. It adds up to pure baloney delivered with a face as straight as Jammwal’s when he is running from the dogs, driving a remote-controlled go-kart through a desert landscape to catch a speeding truck or waiting for a ticking bomb on his elbow to explode.”

The critique continued by pointing out the film’s consistent neglect of narrative logic, with the hero facing various challenges without a crease on his face or a strand of hair out of place. Despite these shortcomings, the film seems to be propelled forward by Jammwal’s charismatic performance.

In addition to the main cast, “Crakk” features Ankit Mohan, Jamie Lever, Bijay Anand, and Rajendra Shisatkar in pivotal roles. As the box office figures indicate a somewhat lackluster response, the film’s fate in the coming weeks will reveal whether it can overcome the initial challenges and carve a lasting impression in the audience’s memory.
