The Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri’s Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, marked another decline in the opening week of business on the first Tuesday. As per the trade analysts, it has successfully collected around ₹ 24 crore in the domestic market till now. However, the number of collections has reduced, but such films are still on and have not lost the people’s attention. The movie has clashed with a film, Alia Bhatt Jigra, released by Vasan Bala on October 11, which landed in the theatres, causing tough competition at the box office.
The box office story of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video started with a good ₹5.5 crore net on the first day, ₹6.9 crore on the second day, ₹6.4 crore on the third day. The fourth-day collection came down with the film grossing ₹2.4 crores. The weekend gross collection across the domestic areas is set at ₹23.35 crore, and preliminary figures indicate Wednesday business of ₹ 2.15 crore. On Tuesday, the occupancy rate was 11.07% in the Hindi-speaking belt, indicating that the movie has reached its peak and the numbers have come down as compared to the earlier days.
Though Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala’s Video showed some impact, it has not yet done business like Rajkummar Rao’s earlier superhit, Stree 2, which minted ₹38.1 crores by the 5th day. Likewise, the last movie of Triptii Dimri, called Bad Newz, collected ₹3.75 crore on the fifth day, outstripping the latest movie income. But the movie has surpassed its box-office rival Jigra and has so far collections of ₹19.85 crores on the fifth day, earning ₹1.60 crore.
Comical and interesting in its narrative, the story is centered around Vicky, portrayed by Rajkummar Rao, and Vidya, played by Triptii Dimri, who find themselves on a funny mission to search for their lost “suhagraat CD” in Rishikesh.
