Nitesh Tiwari, known for directing blockbusters like Dangal and Chhichhore, is currently making headlines with his latest directorial venture, Bawaal. The film, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan, is a highly anticipated romantic drama slated for release this year.

With a grand trailer release in Dubai, the sizzling chemistry between Varun and Janhvi has been grabbing attention, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of Bawaal. However, the initial reviews following a fan screening indicate that the film has failed to meet audience expectations.

Renowned film critic, who had initially shared a brief review on Twitter without mentioning the film’s name, stated, “Theatrical Flop avoided it seems.” Although the tweet was later deleted, it didn’t take long for netizens to speculate that it referred to Bawaal.

Social media platforms were abuzz with disappointed fans expressing their views on Bawaal. One Twitter user, who identified themselves as a Varun Dhawan fan, shared their disappointment, suggesting that Varun should now opt for larger-than-life movies and move on from working with content-driven or national directors. They mentioned that Varun’s performance seemed alright, while Janhvi looked decent.

The user further criticized the second half of the movie, stating that it lacked coherence and that the depiction of war situations felt forced and unnatural. They concluded by stating that Bawaal would struggle at the box office and expressed gratitude for the availability of the film on OTT platforms.

These early reactions from viewers highlight a sense of letdown surrounding Bawaal, signaling that the film may not have met the high expectations placed upon it. As more reviews and opinions emerge, audiences will have a clearer understanding of the film’s overall reception.
