Holi Brings Colourful Box Office Success for ‘Shaitaan’ Starring Ajay Devgan and R Madhavan on Monday, emerging as the fastest runner in cinemas. Vikas Bahl-directed film ‘Shaitaan’ has outshined Bollywood films running in theatres for several days. However, it’s essential to clarify to our readers that despite disappointment with the film’s storyline, the presence of Madhavan and Devgan and the trailer has drawn people’s attention.

This has been reflected in the film’s remarkable collection. Meanwhile, ‘Article 370,’ based on the story of removing Article 370 from Kashmir, is also performing well even on its 32nd day. Recently released Siddharth Malhotra’s ‘Yoddha’ has proven to be quite underwhelming, with its earnings on Holi being comparatively low.

The film ‘Shaitaan,’ woven around tantrums and magic, starring Ajay Devgan and R Madhavan, is winning hearts. It narrates the story of Kabir, played by Ajay Devgan, who reaches his farmhouse for holidays, only to encounter an angry Kashi, played by Madhavan, bringing along a storm. According to industry trackers, the film ‘Shaitaan’ made a splendid collection of 3.25 crores on the 18th day, i.e., on Monday, making a total of 128.80 crores. The film’s worldwide collection has earned close to 184.00 crores. Slowly but steadily, the film is inching towards the 200 crores mark.

Reflecting the need to remove Article 370 from Kashmir and the government’s efforts, the film ‘Article 370’ has also earned decently well. Yami Gautam, starrer ‘Article 370’ directed by Suhas Jambhale, made earnings of 60 lakhs on Monday, totaling 76.05 crores.

However, Siddharth Malhotra’s film ‘Yodha,’ based on the sacrifice of soldiers for the country, is not showing remarkable performance at the box office. On Holi, the film made a collection of 1.6 crores, totalling 30.85 crores domestically and around 40 crores worldwide.
