Mumbai: The Kerala Story starring Adah Sharma, is close to breaking many milestones and records in the Bollywood industry. This movie was released on Friday, 5 May, and to date, it has collected more than 45 crores as Box Office Collection in India. On Monday, the movie collected more than its first day, receiving more than ten crore Box Office Collection.
The movie is also suffering severe backlash in various parts of the country. The Director has reported, Sudipto Sen, that one of the crew members received a threat after the movie’s release. The Police said, “The message threatened the said person not to step out alone from home and that they didn’t do a good thing by showing the story.”
Recently, this movie was also supported by BJP through its Poll campaign in Bengaluru, as the political party offered a free screening of this movie to the citizens. JP Nadda, President of BJP, watched the movie with various Union Ministers and the region’s youngsters on Sunday. After that, JP Nadda said, “The movie helps expose the truth about a different kind of terrorism; it’s an eye-opener for youngsters.”
The Kerala High Court denied the appeal demanding the movie not to be released. Now it has been reported that the Supreme Court will have a hearing on this matter on May 15 to decide whether the movie will remain in theatres or not. On the other hand, the movie has been banned in West Bengal following a tweet by CM Mamta Banerjee.
