Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s much-anticipated film, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” is gearing up for its theatrical release, with advance booking numbers signaling a lukewarm response. Industry reports reveal that the film has amassed ₹93.66 lakh in advance bookings for its opening day. According to the latest data, a total of 43,250 tickets have been sold across India, with prominent sales reported in regions such as Delhi NCR and Mumbai. The movie, directed by Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, is set to release in Hindi.

“Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” features a star-studded cast including Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Dimple Kapadia, and Dharmendra. Shahid Kapoor portrays a robot scientist who develops emotions and ultimately ties the knot with Kriti, an intelligent female robot. The film’s trailer suggests a unique love story as Shahid’s character discovers love for the robotic counterpart.

Recent updates from Bollywood Hungama indicate that the film underwent an ‘audio medication’ and faced alterations by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), particularly in a ‘scene of a sexual act.’ Reportedly, the CBFC has trimmed the scene by 25%, reducing a nine-second portion. The original 36-second intimate scene is said to have been edited down to 27 seconds. Additionally, modifications were made in the second half, where the word ‘daru’ (alcohol) was replaced with ‘drink.’

As the film inches closer to its release date, the lukewarm response in advance bookings may pose challenges for its initial box office performance. The reported alterations by the CBFC indicate the filmmakers’ compliance with certification standards, ensuring a wider audience appeal. It remains to be seen how the unique storyline of human-robot romance resonates with viewers, as “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya” hits the big screens.
