With Amar Kaushik as the director, “Stree 2” is doing incredibly well globally and is almost at ₹500 crore mark. The horror comedy was released on August 15, Independence Day, and has received a lot of attention. It has been performing very well at the box office. Subsequently, the production company Maddock Films announced on X (formerly Twitter) about the film’s strong financial standing.

It was reported again by Maddock Films that “Stree 2” has grossed ₹428 crore GBO in the worldwide theatrical releases. This includes ₹363 crore from domestic earnings and ₹64.5 crore from the international markets. Currently, the film has grossed ₹ 308 crore in India, including ₹ 289.6 crore generated during the first week of the festive season sale. Finally, on Day 8, Thursday, it collected ₹18.2 crore to its score.

The post shared by the production house could be seen saying that the film has once again set a record for its success with the caption, ‘Stree mania sweeps the nation, hitting yet another record! Thank you, everyone, for your immense and blockbuster love.‘ This shows the excitement is still continuing with good response.

‘Stree 2’ is the second upcoming horror comedy in the universe that producer Dinesh Vijan has built. While the body horror of the Dargah is gone, this builds from the story of the 2018 hit “Stree,” in which the spirit of a vengeful sex worker returns to the town of Chanderi to help Vicky (Rajkummar Rao) and his male friends defeat a new supernatural threat in the form of a character known as Sarkata.

The sequel features Shraddha Kapoor and Pankaj Tripathi, along with Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Banerjee, with Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan in cameo appearances. The elements of horror and comedy, as well as the presence of famous actors, create interest in the picture, and the latter contributes to the high revenues received by the movie.
