Box Office Update: Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein are going strong at the box office despite lagging way behind Stree 2, which was also released on the same day the other two were released. However, as of day 6, Akshay Kumar’s movie beat the John Abraham starrer by almost 50%. To note more, the first Tuesday witnessed a dip in collection for both the movies.
As reported, the film entered the ₹250 crore club on the sixth day of its release. It is a sequel to the 2018 film Stree. The film earned ₹ 8.5 crore on Wednesday. The film earned ₹51.8 crore on day one, ₹31.4 crore on day two, ₹43.85 crore on day three, ₹55.9 crore on day four and ₹38.1 crore on day five. On day six, the film minted ₹25 crore nett in India, as per early estimates. So far, the film has earned ₹254.55 crore in India. Stree 2 had an overall 37.55% Hindi occupancy on Tuesday.
Khel Khel Mein, which stars Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Taapsee Pannu, Ammy Virk, Fardeen Khan among others, started slow yet steady growth after it was released on Independence day. As of day 6, the total collection of the movie stands at Rs. 17.15 Cr with a Rs. 1.1 Cr collection on its first Tuesday itself according to the early estimates. To note more, the total worldwide collection of Khel Khel Mein is Rs. 26.8 Cr.
On the other hand, the John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh starrer witnessed a major fall in collection after it was opened with Rs. 6.3 Cr on August 15, the fall continued till its first Tuesday and its total collection is now Rs. 16.10 Cr, and it managed to earn only Rs. 60 lakhs at the box office on day 6. On the other hand, the worldwide collection of the movie now stands at 21.4 crores.
