Shah Rukh Khan’s blockbuster movie “Jawan” is enjoying success at the box office. It is poised to become one of the highest-grossing Hindi films globally. The action-packed film experienced an increase in earnings collecting Rs 5.1 crore in India on a Wednesday, according to industry trackers. This represents a boost of Rs 20 lakh compared to the previous day’s earnings.
“Jawan” has now accumulated a total of Rs 576 crore in India across all languages surpassing the record set by “Pathaan” several months ago. Shah Rukh Khan’s outstanding box office performance has allowed him to cross the Rs 1000 crore mark at the box office within a year, delivering two blockbuster hits.
“Pathaan” concluded its run with Rs 543 crore, a record that “Jawan” comfortably surpassed a few days ago as it aims for the milestone of Rs 600 crore. The film’s success has been further enhanced by Red Chillies’ announcement of a buy one get one promotion.
While “Jawan” is expected to surpass “Pathaan” in terms of global box office collection, in the future, it is unlikely to exceed the lifetime earnings of “Dangal,” which reached a staggering Rs 2000 crore. The bulk of “Dangals” revenue was generated in China, where “Jawan” did not have a release. Currently, “Jawan” is Rs 28 crore away from surpassing the record set by “Pathaan,” which stands at Rs 1050 crore.
