Actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has been announced as the Brand Ambassador of a Mentor program that will be launched by the Delhi Government. CM Arvind Kejriwal made the announcement today morning at a joint press conference. Reportedly, under the initiative, those people who are experienced in their profession will be encouraged to mentor children who are a part of Delhi government schools.
As the Simbaa star met with Delhi CM, social media flooded with pictures. In few shots, Sonu Sood and CM Arvind Kejriwal were seen discussing matters at hand. As per reports, Delhi CM praised Sonu Sood for his philanthropic work for the people of the country and appointed him as the brand ambassador of the initiative by his government.
While interacting with the Chief Minister, the actor described his experience of helping the migrant labourers in sending them back home in the lockdown last year and how he maintained a database of 7,50,000 migrants and reconnected with them to start his job portal that offered 3,00,000 jobs to the migrants. He further spoke about his initiative ‘Pravasi Rojagar’, a mobile App launched by Sonu Sood on July 23 2020 during the harsh times faced by migrant workers. This app would overcome all economical problems faced by the migrant workers and help them earn a living.
