AR Murugadoss, producer of the action film Sikandar, was all set to release the teaser of his film on the occasion of Salman Khan’s 59th birthday on Friday. But this morning itself he announced the postponement of the event due to the mourning of the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Sikandar teaser postponed

The social media handles of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment shared the announcement of the teaser delay and said, “In light of the passing of our esteemed former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Ji, we regret to announce that the release of the Sikandar teaser has been postponed to 28th December at 11:07 AM. Our thoughts are with the nation during this time of mourning. Thank you for understanding, #TeamSikandar.”

Additionally, they confirmed the new date for launch as December 28 at 11:07 AM. Many fans commented in support of the decision, one adding, “No issues; we will wait till tomorrow. The teaser is going to be massive!”. Another said, “Great gesture. We can wait for 1 more day.”

The makers of the upcoming film Sikandar delighted Salman Khan’s fans by unveiling his look from this upcoming project on the eve of his birthday. In the poster, Salman is seen carrying a spear, in which fans got a glimpse of his powerful look, although his entire face was not clear in this poster. Sharing the poster on Instagram, Salman had announced that the teaser of his film Sikandar will be released on his birthday, December 27. Sikandar also stars Rashmika Mandanna and is set to be released in cinemas next Eid. Salman Khan will also be seen in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2.

Dr. Manmohan Singh’s demise

Manmohan Singh passed away on Thursday night at the age of 92 from age-related issues, AIIMS New Delhi informed. He was India’s prime minister for two terms, from 2004 to 2014. He first took the oath of office in 2004, following the Congress’ victory over the NDA, led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, in the 2004 Lok Sabha election. His second term lasted from 2009 to 2014. In 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took over as his successor. Manmohan Singh was a prominent economist who also helped to shape the New Economic Policy in 1991.
