The movie saw a strong influx of audiences on its release, particularly due to its timing during the Eid festivities. According to reports, Sikandar was made on a budget of Rs. 250 Crore. The film is now nearing its break-even point at the worldwide box office. So, how much has Sikandar grossed globally as of Tuesday?
AR Murugadoss’ action film Sikandar, has fallen short of expectations, garnering a lukewarm reception at the box office. According to sources, the film has collected ₹105.60 crore net in India so far.
Registering a 7.55% occupancy, Sikandar made an estimated ₹1.35 crore net in India on Tuesday, taking its total to around ₹105.60 crore net in India. The film brought in ₹90.25 crore after its five-day run and made ₹3.5 crore, ₹4 crore and ₹4.75 crore last Friday and weekend.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal’s historical film Chava. It has been more than 50 days since the movie released on February 14 in theaters, but the film is not showing any signs of budging. When the collection of this Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna starrer fell on the 46th day, it seemed that the film’s account would be closed at the domestic box office. However, the opposite happened and on the 52nd day of release, there was a sudden jump in the collection of Chhava and the film again returned to crores. This film was already a noose around the neck of Salman Khan’s Sikandar, now the movie can also become a threat to Jat after its Tuesday collection.
After Sikandar hit the theatres, it seemed that Chhava would not be able to stay at the box office for long. However, this did not happen, on the contrary, the presence of Chhava spoiled the entire box office calculations of Sikandar, which started with 26 crores. However, Vicky’s Chhava is not getting peace even with this. This film may have earned millions on weekdays, but it is not leaving the throne of the box office.
