After enjoying a streak for two weeks, director Atlee’s film “Jawan” continues to captivate audiences at the box office. According to industry trackers, the action-packed movie earned an estimated Rs 5.1 crore on its day in theaters. The film’s remarkable performance has now propelled its earnings to an astounding Rs 571 crore, and it seems poised to surpass the coveted Rs 600 crore milestone in India before concluding its theatrical run.
It is worth noting that “Jawan” has already surpassed “Pathaan” to become the Hindi language film ever, marking an achievement in Shah Rukh Khan’s illustrious career. Additionally, it is the Hindi film this year to cross the $100 million mark in global box office earnings. However, it still falls short of “Pathaan” by Rs 40 crore in terms of earnings. “Pathaan” concluded its global box office journey with a total of around Rs 1050 crore.
On its day since release, “Jawan” had a Hindi language version occupancy rate of 13%, while the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions managed to secure occupancies of 20% and 16% despite having limited showings.
The Hindi dubbed versions of the film “Jawan” have achieved a combined box office collection of over Rs 50 crore. This success primarily stems from its connection with Hindi-speaking audiences.
The remarkable performance of “Jawan” at the box office confirms its lasting popularity. Establishes it as a triumph in the realm of Hindi cinema, solidifying its status as one of this year’s most notable releases.
