22 days after being released, the YRFs Spy Universe thriller Pathaan has become the first Hindi Film to breach the Rs 500 crore nett barrier at the box office. The only film ahead of it in the domestic collection is SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion.
Taking to their social media handles, Yash Raj Films announced the big news. With its third week’s Wednesday figures, the Siddharth Anand directorial has now collected a total of Rs 502.45 crores nett at the box office. Pathaan’s global box office collection has also now increased to Rs 970 crore nett. It is now inching closer to the Rs 1000 crore nett mark globally.
Celebrating the milestone the makers of the film have announced to make this Friday special for SRK fans. The ticket price across India for the film on this day has been set to Rs 110. For the last 3 weeks, Pathaan had been enjoying almost no competition in theatres with no big releases. However, there are two big projects that will be released this Friday.
Pathaan would now have to battle against Kartik Aryan starrer Shehzada and AntMan and the Wasp: Quantumania this Friday. It remains to be seen how long will it take for Pathaan now to breach the Rs 1000 crore nett mark globally. Hopefully, by the end of this weekend, the milestone will be achieved.
