The highly anticipated film “Tiger 3,” featuring Salman Khan, Emraan Hashmi, and Katrina Kaif, debuted in theaters on November 12, coinciding with Diwali weekend. The Maneesh Sharma-directed movie not only marked the biggest opening for Salman Khan but also demonstrated remarkable performance on its second day.
With an impressive net collection of ₹102.02 crore in India, “Tiger 3” surpassed expectations. On the opening day, the film set a new record for Salman Khan, garnering ₹44.5 crore. The success continued on the second day, with estimates indicating a collection of ₹57.52 crore and an overall Hindi Occupancy of 48.62% in theaters on November 13.
In the Indian Box Office rankings, “Tiger 3” secured the third spot among the biggest openers, with ‘Jawan’ leading the pack, as reported by industry trackers. Globally, the film stands as the fifth-largest opener of 2023, highlighting its widespread appeal and popularity.
This Salman Khan starrer is the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe series, following ‘Ek Tha Tiger,’ ‘Tiger Zinda Hai,’ ‘War,’ and ‘Pathaan.’ Serving as a sequel to the 2017 film “Tiger Zinda Hai,” “Tiger 3” brings together an ensemble cast, including Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles, with cameo appearances by Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan.
The Aditya Chopra production released in various formats, including 2D, IMAX 2D, and 4DX, adding to its box office appeal. As the film continues to dominate the box office charts, its widespread success underscores the strong draw of this action-packed installment in the YRF Spy Universe series.
