In celebration of National Cinema Day, various multiplexes across the country offered movie tickets at an attractive rate of Rs 99, leading to a remarkable surge in box office collections for several films. Notably, Akshay Kumar’s “Mission Raniganj” and Pankaj Tripathi and Varun Sharma starrer “Fukrey 3” witnessed a substantial growth in their earnings.

“Mission Raniganj” raked in Rs 5 crore on that special Friday, nearly doubling its opening day collection of Rs 2.8 crore, as reported by industry trackers. As a result, the film’s net domestic total presently stands at Rs 23.25 crore.

On the other hand, “Fukrey 3,” featuring Varun Sharma and Richa Chadha, enjoyed a resurgence in popularity due to the reduced ticket prices. The film accumulated an impressive Rs 5.25 crore on the discounted ticket day, elevating its net domestic collection to Rs 86.54 crore.

“Fukrey 3” is steadily approaching the coveted Rs 100 crore milestone in the Indian market, although it remains to be seen whether it can achieve this feat. As per industry trackers, the film has already grossed Rs 109.5 crore globally. With no major releases in sight for the weekend, “Fukrey 3” has an additional opportunity to captivate the audience during its third weekend at the box office. It’s worth noting that “Fukrey 3” was released alongside Vivek Agnihotri’s “The Vaccine War,” which, unfortunately, had a disappointing run in theatres and eventually vanished without a notable impact. This, in turn, has directly benefited the performance of “Fukrey 3” at the box office.
