The highly anticipated Bollywood film “Animal” has created a buzz by securing an impressive ₹9.75 crore in advance bookings on November 27, setting the stage for a blockbuster release. According to Indian film trade portal reports, a substantial 3,34,173 tickets have been snapped up across 7,200 shows in India.
The pre-release bookings highlight the film’s widespread appeal, with 2,73,425 tickets booked for Hindi 2D shows and 58,465 tickets for Telugu 2D shows. Additionally, 1,504 tickets have been reserved for Kannada shows, and 779 for Tamil shows, indicating a diverse audience engagement across languages.
Key contributing regions to the significant advance bookings include the National Capital Region (NCR) with 2.14 crore, Hyderabad with 1.12 crore, Mumbai with 84.96 lakh, Bengaluru with 80.02 lakh, Kolkata with 25.97 lakh, Jaipur with 18.31 lakh, and Chandigarh with 14.9 lakh.
The film’s momentum is evident from day one, where it garnered ₹6.95 crore in advance ticket sales, with a total of 2,28,275 tickets booked across all three languages on Sunday. Reports suggest that “Animal” is poised to achieve a remarkable ₹50 crore on its opening day, reflecting the high expectations surrounding the movie.
The Central Board of Film Certification has awarded “Animal” an ‘A’ rating (CBFC), signaling intense and mature content. The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna, explores the complex father-son relationship between Arjun Singh (Ranbir Kapoor) and his father Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor). Rashmika Mandanna portrays Ranbir’s love interest, while Bobby Deol takes on the role of the chief antagonist.
