Ranbir Kapoor has disclosed that he will perform a dual role in Ramayana as he would be playing the role of Lord Rama as well as Lord Parshurama in the much-awaited project directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The news has contributed to the increasingly high anticipation of the movie, which is already among the most anticipated releases.
The attentive eyes of Ranbir as Lord Rama were also recently revealed to a few fortunate people in a huge event in Los Angeles and these have been hugely appreciated. During the event, the actor assured of also playing the role of Lord Parshurama, an additional avatar of Lord Vishnu, thus a first of its kind dualistic role.
Talking of his excitement, Ranbir explained that it was a great experience to have the chance to perform not only the role of Lord Rama but also of Lord Parshurama. He emphasized the importance of the two characters in myths as they are different avatars that have their own characteristics and missions.
The actor also shared about the way he prepared the roles and he said that he concentrated more on the spiritual and emotional aspect of the characters besides physical change of body language. He also took close to a year to understand their motives, values and the nature of their personalities in order to make his performance authentic.
Being released on a big scale, having an extensive mythological background, and featuring a dual role played by Ranbir Kapoor, Ramayana is likely to provide viewers with a visual spectacle and an emotionally charged film.
