Pushpa 2: The Rule remains the main attraction worldwide and does not seem to be slowing down even after such a record-setting opening weekend. The Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil movies emerged as winners in the Monday test, and the collection at the box office is regularly increasing. Global South cinema has withstood the test of earning ₹590+ crores in India as of Day 5 and is estimated to go beyond ₹600 crores by Tuesday, making it an unprecedented second phase.
Pushpa 2 has ₹64.1 crore collections on Monday alone to contribute to the existing amount. It had an excellent opening weekend, collecting ₹93.8 crore on Friday, ₹119.25 crore on Saturday and ₹141.05 crore on Sunday. That also contributes to its overall gross of ₹593.1 crore, which the film has made in just five days, with Monday’s earnings added to it. The movie hit the theatres across India on December 5, and people have loomed over the film.
It was not just the opening week, but there were also brilliant occupancy records, especially for the Telugu and Hindi dubbed films. On Monday, the Telugu version had 38.33% occupancy while the Hindi version crossed 40.11% which clearly indicates it is loved and appreciated by audiences of all regions.
Pushpa 2: The Rule finds Allu Arjun back as Pushpa Raj, who becomes the kingpin of a Red Sanders smuggling gang. His character strongly contradicts police officer Bhanwar Singh Shekawat, who was played by Fahadh Faasil. The film sets the stage for Pushpa 3: The Rampage, and people now look out for the next instalment of the movie.
Not only did the film become the highest-opening Indian film, but also it became the highest-opening Hindi film. This status made it the first movie that was profitable in two languages on the same day, earning more than ₹50 crore. Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude on Instagram, sharing his joy over the film’s success with a heartfelt message: “Gangaamma Thalli Blessings.”
