Mumbai: ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, the highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster ‘Pushpa’, shows signs of slowing down at the box office, as it enters its second week of release. The film, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, has performed exceptionally well, grossing over ₹1400 crore worldwide by its second Tuesday. The movie has witnessed some decline in numbers but has remained the first choice of cine-goers. The movie also stars Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles.

Within just 13 days of its run at the ticket counters, the film has breached the psychological ₹1,400 crore mark worldwide. “Allu Arjun starrer is enjoying the dream run even on week days,” as per film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan.

Amid its massive success, ‘Pushpa 2’ also got into a controversy after a woman died due to stampede at the Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad. Allu Arjun was also arrested in this case but was released on an interim bail.

Show Cause Notice To Sandhya Theatres

The Hyderabad police has issued a show cause notice to the management of Sandhya Theatre for alleged lapses that led to the death of a woman in a stampede during the premiere of Telugu superstar Allu Arjun’s latest film, Pushpa 2.

Meanwhile, an alleged letter from the police to the Sandhya theatres has gone viral in which they asked the management not to invite the celebrities. The letter also mentioned that it would be not possible to control the crowd in the theatre. According to reports, the management requested the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chikkadpally, Hyderabad, to arrange a Police Bandobust for December 4 for the arrival of Allu Arjun and the team of ‘Pushpa 2’.
