On its eighth day at the box office, Prasanth Varma’s directorial venture, “HanuMan,” featuring Teja Sajja in the lead, recorded a substantial collection of ₹9 crore, according to preliminary estimates. The film’s net collection in India has now reached ₹98.8 crore. Impressively, the superhero flick has not only maintained its momentum on weekdays but also demonstrated resilience, garnering ₹9.50 crore on Thursday, marking a slight dip of 16.67% on the seventh day since its release.

“HanuMan” had a promising start, opening with ₹8.05 crore on its release day. The movie’s exclusive Telugu paid premiere contributed an additional ₹4.15 crore. Over the weekend, it showcased robust performance, accumulating ₹12.45 crore on Saturday and ₹16 crore on Sunday.

The film sustained its momentum during the weekdays, with a business of ₹15.2 crore on Monday and ₹13.11 crore on Tuesday. Even on Wednesday, it continued its strong run, securing ₹11.34 crore.

In total, the net collection in India stands at ₹98.8 crore, with a gross domestic box office collection of ₹104.1 crore. The overseas market has contributed ₹38.5 crore, propelling the worldwide earnings of “HanuMan” to an impressive ₹142.6 crore.

Comparatively, “Merry Christmas,” released on the same day as “HanuMan,” directed by Sriram Raghavan and featuring Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif, has garnered ₹15.27 crore net in India. The film’s gross box office collection in India amounts to ₹17.50 crore, with an additional ₹2.75 crore from the overseas market, resulting in a total global box office collection of ₹20.25 crore.

On the other hand, “Guntur Kaaram,” also released on January 12, has outperformed both films. Starring Mahesh Babu, it has surpassed ₹110.9 crore net in the domestic market, with a gross box office collection of ₹126.8 crore in India and ₹30 crore from overseas. The worldwide box office collection for this Mahesh Babu starrer now stands at an impressive ₹156.8 crore.
