Speaking about the money it minted at the box office, the Siddharth Anand directorial is just 9 days after its release crossed the Rs 500 crore mark globally. As the movie was released on a weekday, it had a five-day extended weekend. On Thursday, the spy thriller so far minted Rs 700 crore globally. The film earned between Rs. 15 crores and Rs. 16 crores on its second Thursday.
This has made Pathaan the highest-grossing Bollywood film as it surpassed the domestic receipts of KGF Chapter 2 and Baahubali 2, the Hindi versions. It is on the verge of smashing Dangal’s existing record of Rs. 387.38 crore.
After ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, and ‘War’, ‘Pathaan’ is the fourth film in the newly constructed YRF spy world. Salman Khan appeared as his character Tiger in ‘Pathaan’. Besharam Rang and Jhumoo Jo Pathaan have been topping the charts ever since their release. The movie is being screened at around 8000 theatres globally.
