The romantic film O’Romeo by Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri has also demonstrated good continuity in its opening weekend at the box office. The movie started its theatrical career on Friday with an estimated 8.5 crore in its opening weekend, and on Saturday, it shot up, indicating positive word of mouth and an increasing number of people showing interest in the movie.

Early estimates by Sacnalik put the number of ₹12.25 crore the film has gained in its second day and its net earnings of around 20.75 crore in the two days in the all-India market. Domestically, the film has already earned 34.6 beckoning money in the domestic box office. Moreover, it has earned about 2 crore in foreign theatres, and that has increased its global gross receipts to approximate 26.6 crore in only two days of release.

Owing to Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, O’Romeo boasts of an ensemble cast, which comprises Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, Vikrant Massey, and Tamannaah Bhatia, among Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri. The gradual expansion of the film implies high attendance among the audience, particularly in major cities.

Notably, O’Romeo has continued to be miles ahead of other movies that are being shown in the cinemas. It has easily overtaken Border 2, which is on its fourth week, and earned a sum of about 1.90 crore on Saturday. A rival launch, Tu Yaa Main, also made about 500,000 on Saturday to reach an estimated 700,000 on the weekend.

As far as the Sunday collections are likely to go even higher, trade analysts expect O’Romeo to have a good opening weekend.
