Mumbai: Aryan Khan’s jail stay was extended by another day as the hearing on his bail request in the Bombay High Court was posted to 2:30 pm tomorrow. After the hearing for the bail application, Aryan Khan’s lawyer Mukul Rohatgi informed the Bombay High Court that his client was not a consumer and had been invited on the cruise as a special guest. ‘In reality, no drugs were found on him, and no medical test was performed to prove he had consumed anything,” Rohatgi told the HC court. Over Sameer Wankhede’s role in the Mumbai narcotics bust case, a verbal brawl erupted between the NCP and the BJP.
While Nawab Malik stated that he will hand over a letter to the head of the NCB detailing the official’s wrongdoings, Mohit Kamboj of the Bharatiya Janata Party claimed that the Maharashtra minister wrote the letter himself to save his son-in-law, who was previously arrested in a drugs case. A lawyer has also filed a criminal complaint against Malik for intimidating a public official in Mumbai.
Former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi, who arrived in Mumbai on Monday, will represent Aryan Khan in his bail hearing before the Bombay High Court. Along with Rohatgi, senior attorneys Ruby Singh Ahuja and Sandeep Kapur, partners of Karanjawala and Co, would speak on behalf of Shah Rukh Khan’s 23-year-old son. Kapur is most known for representing Avantha Group promoter Gautam Thapar. According to Karanjawala and Co, the new team joins previous legal counsel Amit Desai, Satish Manshinde, Anandini Fernandes, and Rustom Mulla.
