Mumbai: Film producer Imtiyaz Khatri’s residence and Mumbai office witnessed a visit by the NCB officials. The raid is said to be a development in the drugs on cruise case which has gained huge political mileage in recent days.
According to sources, Khatri’s name surfaced during the interrogation of Achit Kumar, who was arrested from suburban Powai for the possession of a small quantity of ‘hydroponic weed’.
So far 18 people have been arrested in the case. Aryan Khan and the other accused were yesterday transferred to the prison after the judge in a court hearing on October 7th terminated NCB judicial custody.
Khatri is the son of a Mumbai based builder. It is reported that he allegedly has connections with many Bollywood personalities and has also been previously accused of supplying drugs in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case by Rajput’s former manager Shruti Modi’s lawyer.
A raid by undercover NCB officials was conducted on the cruise ship that hosted a rave party. Departing from Mumbai this Goa bound cruise was raided midway after receiving a tip of drugs on board. Bollywood superstar Shahrukh khan’s Son Aryan Khan and several other individuals related to Bollywood were arrested on October 3rd. Following which there has been questioning and court hearings to nab the dealer.
