With a year in the Indian film industry Mrunal Thakur has become one of the most sought-after and admired figures in contemporary cinema.

The anticipated annual gala award ceremony of the festival, scheduled for August 11 will present Mrunal Thakur with the Diversity in Cinema Award. This recognition coincides with a milestone in her career marking a one-year journey into South Indian cinema.
