Mumbai: Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s second film, Loveyapa, was finally released in theaters on Friday. While both the actors made their debut with streaming films, Loveyapa is their first theatrical film. According to reports, directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa has also grossed Rs 1.25 crore in India. But this earning is being considered low because for its marketing, the three famous Khans of the film world—Aamir, Salman, and Shahrukh—were reunited in the premiere. There was additional interest in both Junaid and Khushi because Junaid is Aamir Khan’s son and Khushi is Sridevi’s daughter.
The romantic-comedy movie had over 2300 shows throughout India, with an overall occupancy rate of 9.56 percent. This includes 589 performances in the National Capital Region and 404 performances in Mumbai. Grusha Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Kiku Sharda, Devishi Mandan, Aaditya Kulshreshth, Nikhil Mehta, Jason Tham, Yusus Khan, Yuktam Kholsa, and Kunj Anand are among the other actors that appear in the movie in addition to Khushi and Junaid.
Loveyapa is a remake of the 2022 Tamil film Love Today. The film opened to mixed reviews on 7 February. Loveyapa was released against Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravikumar; this film has taken an opening of Rs 2.75 crore. There were a total of 2200 shows of Loveyapa across India. Recently, there has been a problem in getting remakes made in theaters, with films like Baby John and Deva doing very poorly at the box office, but Loveyapa had a very dramatic debut. On the same day, the Hindi remake of The Great Indian Kitchen, titled Mrs., was released on ZEE5.
Keith Gomes is the director of the musical action comedy Badass Ravikumar. In addition to Himesh Reshammiya. Prabhudeva, Kriti Kulhari, Simona J, Sanjay Mishra, and Johnny Lever are also featured in the movie.
Loveyapa is the story of a young couple who switch their phones for 24 hours before their wedding at the request of the girl’s suspicious father. The Tamil version of the film, which received positive reviews from both critics and audiences, was directed by Pradeep Ranganathan. Made on a budget of Rs 6 crore, the film had earned Rs 83.55 crore worldwide. Whereas the remake of Khushi Aur Junaid has been made on a budget of around Rs 60 crore.
