Mumbai: The powerful trailer for The Kerala Story 2, directed by National Award-winning director Kamakhya Narayan Singh, has just been released. This sequel to the 2022 film “The Kerala Story” promises a story that’s darker and more expansive than the first. The film will depict the disturbing story of three Hindu girls.
Sunshine Pictures shared the trailer for The Kerala Story 2 on its Instagram. The makers captioned the trailer, “They targeted our daughters. They broke their trust. They stole their future. This time, we won’t remain silent. The story will continue. This time, we won’t tolerate it…We will fight. The trailer for Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond is out now. In theaters February 27, 2026.”
The trailer begins with a chilling warning: India could become an Islamic state within the next 25 years. The story quickly shifts to Rajasthan, where a distraught Hindu family arrives at the police station to file a POCSO (PoCSO) complaint. They allege their 16-year-old daughter has been forcibly converted. The parents’ pain and helplessness set the tone for the story that follows. From there, the story shifts to Madhya Pradesh, where a young Hindu woman is allegedly lured into a marriage trap and then forced to convert. Her silent suffering and loneliness paint a chilling picture of betrayal and broken trust.
Meanwhile, the third part of the story takes us back to Kerala. Here, a Muslim man proposes a live-in relationship to his Hindu girlfriend. When the woman clearly states that she will not convert, things escalate. The trailer depicts heated arguments and confrontations, where she is pressured to renounce her faith, highlighting the struggle between identity, faith, and personal freedom.
