Bebo has been away from the silver screen ever since Jeh came. However, her fans are now drolling over the latest social media post of the K3G star, where she announced her debut on the OTT platform Netflix.
Her video post on Instagram read – “And so it begins…12th Street Entertainment & Northern Lights Films in association with Boundscript and Kross Pictures present a Netflix Original directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Produced by Jay Shewakramani & Akshai Puri. Produced by Sujoy Ghosh & Thomas Kim.”
To add up the thrill, Netflix also shared the news with a picture captioned- “We’ve got some Pretty Hot And Tempting news! Kareena Kapoor Khan stars in a thrilling new Netflix film with Jaideep Ahlawat & Vijay Varma, directed by Sujoy Ghosh.”
The yet to be titled film is said to be a mystery murder based on Japanese author Keigo Higashino’s novel, ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’. Alongside Kareena, Sujoy Ghosh has roped in Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma.
‘The Devotion of Suspect X’, the third novel in Higashino’s Detective Galileo series, is considered to be his most acclaimed work. It fetched him the Naoki Prize, a highly regarded literary honour in Japan. The novel won the prestigious Honkaku Mystery Award as well.
Talking about his film, Ghosh said, “Devotion’ is probably the best love story I’ve ever read. To get a chance to adapt it into a film is such an honour. Plus I get a chance to work with Kareena, Jaideep and Vijay. What more can one ask for?”
Gosh is known for his acclaimed works such as ‘Kahaani’, 2012; ‘Badla’, 2018.
