A viral video capturing an incident between Vicky Kaushal and Salman Khan’s bodyguards at the IIFA Awards 2023 press conference has created a buzz across the internet. The footage shows Khan’s security personnel pushing Kaushal as he attempted to approach the actor during the event held in Abu Dhabi. This incident occurred amidst heightened security measures for Salman Khan due to the multiple death threats he has received in recent months.

During the IIFA Rocks 2023 event’s Green Carpet on Friday, Vicky Kaushal addressed the incident in a conversation with the media. He expressed his perspective, stating, “Kayi baar baatein badh jaati hain, us baare mein bahut unnecessary chatter hota hai” (Sometimes things get blown out of proportion, and there is unnecessary chatter about them). 

Kaushal suggested that the video may not truly reflect the actual events and emphasised that there is no point in dwelling on it. In another video, Vicky Kaushal and Salman Khan were seen hugging each other, possibly indicating that there is no animosity between them.

During this captivating event, the winners for various technical categories were announced, showcasing the immense talent and creativity within the Indian film industry. Notably, the highly acclaimed period drama Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by the esteemed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, received well-deserved accolades. Bhansali, along with Utkarshini Vashishtha, was honored with the award for Best Screenplay, highlighting their exceptional storytelling skills and artistic vision.

In addition to the prestigious screenplay award, Gangubai Kathiawadi also triumphed in the categories of Best Cinematography and Best Dialogue. These wins underscore the film’s remarkable visual aesthetics and the power of its dialogues, contributing to the overall immersive experience for the audience.
