Indore. Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh’s live concert scheduled to be held in Indore on December 8 has come under the tax department’s scrutiny. The GST department has written a letter to the organisers and asked for details of ticket sales and taxes related to this event. The event is being organised at C-21 Estate Ground. Saregama India and Ripple Effect Entertainment are handling the responsibility of this event.

Tickets are being sold online in various categories, the GST department has raised questions about their sale. Through a letter, the department has sought information from the organizers about the total number of tickets sold, their price and how much amount has been deposited so far as tax.

Let us tell you that Saregama India had taken a temporary GST number for Indore last month and has deposited tax of about Rs 1.25 crore. The GST department has also asked for the details of tax related to the use of the event venue. The department hopes that all the information will be available by Saturday or Sunday. After which it will be decided how much tax benefit the state will get from this event and whether there has been any tax evasion in organizing the event.
