Madhya Pradesh: An FIR is filed against the makers of The Kapil Sharma Show in the district court of Shivpuri Madhya Pradesh. The complaint is filed against an episode of the comedy show, which features actors drinking alcohol while enacting a courtroom scene. The case would be heard on October 1st sources reported.
According to the advocate who filed the complaint, “The Kapil Sharma Show aired on Sony TV is very sloppy. They also make lewd comments on women. In one of the episodes, a court was set up on the stage and the actors were seen drinking alcohol in public. This is contempt of court. That’s why I have demanded registration of FIR against the culprits under Section 356/3 in the court. Such display of sloppiness should be stopped.”
The case is indicated towards an episode aired on January 19, 2020 and had repeat telecast on April 21 , 2021 that is when it came to spotlight. The lawyer says that the scene indicates a character presenting a courtroom scene under the influence of the alcohol.
The Kapil Sharma Show is hosted by comedian Kapil Sharma. Apart from Kapil, the show stars Sumona Chakravarti, Bharti Singh, Krushna Abhishek, Sudesh Lehri and Archana Singh. After being off-air for almost seven months due to the pandemic, the comedy show resumed on August 21.
