After a slow start on Thursday, the film could fetch Rs 2.75 crore in the domestic market on Friday, taking its nett collections to Rs 9.85 crore.
The film ‘Maidan’ got into legal trouble before its release and was banned from being released in theatres and on OTT by the Mysore court. Anil Kumar, a scriptwriter for Karnataka, has accused this film of plagiarism. First, the Mysore court banned the screening of the film in the state till the dispute was resolved, and Maidaan was not released in Karnataka. In the hearing held on 11th April 2024, the Karnataka High Court has permitted the film’s screening. The makers of Maidan challenged the decision of the lower court. The lower court had the film.
