The movie, Dhurandhar by Aditya Dhar is still in its astounding run at the box office and this has created another milestone in its list of milestones. The spy thriller, starring Ranveer Singh has grossed 1,200 crore at the global box office, with almost 31 days of release span, it has reached the mark to the latter. Through this performance, Dhurandhar has become a part of an exclusive club of a few Indian movies that have ever experienced such figures in the world.
The film has in the process risen to become the fifth highest-grossing Indian movie of all time surpassing the blockbuster KGF: Chapter 2 by Yash, which had a lifetime global collection of approximately ₹1,200 crore in 2022. The success highlights the long run that Dhurandhar has had towards it, even after one month in the theatres.
The movie performed well in its fifth weekend in the domestic box office, where it earned more than 33 crore net in the three days. This put it at an impressive India net of 772. 25 crore, which translates to 926.7 crore gross, within 31 days, domestically. Dhurandhar has been able to maintain its grip in theatres even though the expectations were of a slowdown in the weekdays, as it has been able to stand its ground against the new releases like Avatar: Fire and Ash, Ikkis, and Tu Meri Main Tera Tera Tu Meri.
The performance of the film overseas has also been exemplary. Dhurandhar is set to become the top 10 grossing Indian films in foreign markets with an almost 31 million earned in the international market. It is especially interesting considering that the movie was banned in some of the Middle Eastern regions, which prevented its release, a point that distributors project would have cost the movie at least 10 million dollars in revenue.
