The blockbuster hit of Dhurandhar: The Revenge keeps on rewriting box office collections as the movie recorded an unprecedented business during its first week. As per the producers Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the Ranveer Singh-starrer has earned ₹814 crore in India and 274 crore abroad within eight days only, bringing its global earnings to a massive 1088 crore. The net domestic collection of the film stands at 690 crore during the same period.

The spy thriller, under the direction of Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, has been breaking industry standards. The film-makers claimed that the movie has registered top marks in all the seven days of the initial week, making it run at the highest rate to ₹1,000 crores worldwide in the first week as an Indian movie. It has also achieved the greatest opening weekend collection as well as one of the greatest weekday holds in the history of Indian film industry.

It was a roaring beginning of the film and in the initial four days, it raked a collection of ₹761 crore all over the globe. It continued to have strong momentum through the week days gathering ₹64 crore on Monday, 58 crore on Tuesday, 49 crore on Wednesday and 53 crore on Thursday in India. It was also the first Indian movie to earn ₹100 crore in one day in one language, and made ₹145 crore in the paid previews and the opening day.

The movie was released on March 19 in various languages, and has an ensemble cast in form of R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi. The novel is set in the Karachi Lyari district, where it follows the life of Hamza Ali Mazari who takes the character of Jaskirat Singh Rangi and ascends to a top position in the underworld.
