Mumbai: After a successful run at the box office, Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s Dhurandhar made its way onto the OTT world with its digital release on Netflix. However, Dhurandhar OTT release hasn’t gone down well with fans, with fans noticing muted dialogues and trimmed sequences.

Dhurandhar will begin streaming exclusively on Netflix starting Friday, January 30, 2026. While Netflix typically rolls out its new content at 12:00 AM IST (Midnight), viewers can expect to dive into the world of espionage right as the weekend begins.

The streaming rights were reportedly part of a high-value combined deal worth approximately ₹130 crore, which also includes the digital rights for the upcoming sequel, Dhurandhar 2. Fans claimed that despite the film holding an ‘A’ certificate, several dialogues were muted, foul language censored, and nearly ten minutes trimmed from the theatrical version. Many questioned why an adult-rated film would face cuts on an 18+ streaming platform, especially when audiences expected an uncensored experience after its cinema run.

One posted, “The makers have really betrayed us. If you’re just going to mute everything anyway, then why the hell do you even give an A certificate? 🇮🇳 censorship is a complete joke, nothing else.”

Industry chatter suggests that Netflix may stream a special or uncut cut that includes scenes originally trimmed for theatrical pacing. While fan excitement is high, neither the filmmakers nor Netflix have officially confirmed if the streaming version will differ from the theatrical cut.
