Mumbai: Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has been gaining buzz ever since the teaser was unveiler earlier this year. The heavily anticipated spy thriller Dhurandhar has been released in theatres despite controversy, a court case. Dhurandhar has been one of the tentpole Bollywood films of the year, and everyone – from fans to industry insiders – has been awaiting the first reactions. As the first show of the film ended in Australia, one of the first territories to screen the film, the first review of the film arrived on social media.

With a massive cast that includes Akshay Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Sara Arjun, the film portrays a journey of courage, unity, and artistic conviction. Whne bookings for Dhurandhar opened on Monday, it quickly crossed the ₹1 crore mark. However, momentum has since slowed, and the pace of ticket sales has noticeably tapered off.

As of 2 pm on Wednesday, a day and a half before the film’s premiere, its booking collections for the opening day stand at ₹2.28 crore, with roughly 50,000 tickets sold nationwide. As more shows open up through Wednesday and Thursday, the collections are expected to pick up pace. But recently, the booking looks subpar.

Till a couple of weeks ago, many were anticipating that Dhurandhar might finish with the highest opening for a Hindi film this year. Early movie-goers who watched the movie on the first day itself are praising Ranveer Singh’s performance, calling it an action-packed return. Many of the fans took to social media to praise Dhar’s direction, calling the movie absolutely grpping and a blockbuster.
