Based on values provided by Jio Studios, the movie has had a very good Day 1 collection of 28.60 crore. It continued to go on throughout the weekend raking in 33.10 crore on Saturday and 44.80 crore on Sunday. The movie also continued its good stability through out the weekdays with the best collections of ₹24.30 crores on Monday, 28.60 crores on Tuesday, 29.30 crores on Wednesday, and 29.40 crores on Thursday, which made its total 7 days collection in India to be 218 crores.
According to trade reports, Dhurandhar has a domestic net of 207.25 crore and an overseas income is estimated at 65 crore taking the total of 313.75 crore around the world. Through this success the movie has already surpassed big releases like sikandar of Salman Khan, sitaare Zameen Par of Aamir Khan and raid two of Ajay Devgn. Its second attack is on the big gathering of War 2, with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, that is presently at 364.25 crore.
Directed, written, and co-produced by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is the second venture after his hugely successful Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019). The movie has a great ensemble cast led by Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi. The story is based on true events and it explores the historical enmity between India and Pakistan, with the latter being interwoven with a high-paced espionage thriller with patriotic overtones.
