Dhurandhar starring Ranveer Singh is now a national phenomenon, which first premiered at the theatres on December 5 and soon became one of the highest grossers in the recent past. Under the guidance of Aditya Dhar, the high-octane spy action thriller is not only getting the huge viewer ratings but also rewrote the books of record, becoming the second-highest grosser Indian film in 2025.
The actor who played the role of Donga in Dhurandhar, Naveen Kaushik, has also created some buzz in the film industry by giving a hint of what is to be expected in the much anticipated sequel, among others. During an interview with Just Too Filmy, Naveen even said that in a film that is Dhurandhar Part 2, he cannot spoil it, but people need to prepare to expect a far grander movie experience. Jo aapne Part 1 mein dekha, he said, action, mystery aur manipulation, WO sab 50 times zyada hoga, and what will come up in Part 2 is going to be way bigger and bigger than the initial part itself. Naveen assured that Part 2 shooting is already over though he will not be featured in the second part.
The actor also touched on the tremendous reception of the movie by the audience since fans have accepted and defended Dhurandhar in large numbers. Often desi moms viral hote hain, but here movie poori viral ho, he said. Naveen says that each of the scenes is under deep scrutiny and praise and that a number of supporting and underestimated actors have rediscovered themselves in the success of the movie.
Dhurandhar has made history in the box office front. The film has surpassed the lifetime collections of Stree 2 ( 857 crore) and Kantara: Chapter One ( 852 crore). It has also overtaken the previous year Indian film Chhaava which made ₹807 crore to become the largest Indian film of the year so far.
