Dhurandhar 2, which features Ranveer Singh and is directed by Aditya Dhar, recorded a decline in its fifth day in the cinemas after a massive opening weekend. The film defied the slowdown in footfalls on Monday and that the film successfully reached the ₹470 crore mark in India and declared itself to be one of the biggest hits in the history of Bollywood movies.

The movie received an unprecedented opening, making nearly 454 crores net in the initial three days that included 43 crores in paid previews alone. It also made a very unmatched milestone by recording three days of 100+ crore collections, a feat unattainable in the history of Hindi film.

Monday was of course a bad day to start collections, with the trend of weekdays, and the film had around 17 crore net by the middle of the afternoon. This increased its domestic revenues to approximately 471 crore. Although the occupancy rate decreased to approximately 30 per cent during morning performances in contrast to approximately 80 per cent during the weekend, the figures are still good in terms of interest by the audience, particularly during a weekday.

According to the trade analysts, collections will be better in the evening and night shows since the movie will still attract people. Markedly, another notable achievement is that the film has also outdoneed the lifetime collections of KGF 2.

Although there is the anticipated weekday decline, the total momentum of Dhurandhar 2 is impressive and it will set new standards provided the development is carried on within the next days.
