Dhurandhar 2 is a movie dominated by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar and it is still continuing its strong run at the domestic box office as it records a positive momentum since its release. Released on March 19, the movie had already passed the 390 crore mark in India after paid premieres on March 18.

The film had garnered ₹51.27 crore on day one as of Sunday afternoon, which added up to ₹390.54 crore net total domestic revenue. Its good performance is premised on a record-breaking opening, of which 43 crores were earned via premieres and more than 102 crores were earned on the opening day. The movie has maintained its speed on Friday with 80.72 lakhs and a phenomenal jump on Saturday with a whopping 113 crores and a fantastic occupancy of 81.6 percent in over 20 000 shows.

On Sunday, the movie was still experiencing large crowds with about 77 percent occupancy in the initial sessions and is likely to outperform its previous day. According to trade analysts, the movie may turn into new standards in case the trend remains the same.

The movie has also cast conflicting moods in the film industry. Although the scale and performances of the movie were complimented by many celebrities like Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun, some like Prakash Raj have criticised the storyline of the film.

The fact that the film has been a huge success in the box office, despite the split view, remains unquestionable, as the movie is one of the largest hits of the year to date.
