Mumbai: Sanjay Gadhvi, the director of the popular Bollywood film “Dhoom”, passed away on Sunday morning at his residence in Mumbai. He was 56. Gadhvi’s daughter Sanjina confirmed the news to PTI.
Gadhvi was born in Mumbai on November 22, 1966. He started his career as a music video director and later made his directorial debut with the 2004 film “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai”. However, it was the 2004 action film “Dhoom” that made him a household name.
“Dhoom” was a huge commercial success and spawned two sequels, “Dhoom 2” and “Dhoom 3”. Gadhvi also directed the 2007 film “Dhoom:2” and the 2013 film “Dhoom 3”.
