Mumbai: After the phenomenal success of RRR, the collection of Jr NTR’s new film Devara is on a surprising decline at the box office in just 7 days. This has become a matter of concern for the people associated with this film, which was released on September 27, had a stellar opening night with fans praising Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor’s on-screen chemistry and adorable dance moves.
Devra’s box office run was unique; it made Rs 82.5 crore in its initial days but had a significant decrease in later days. Even with a 40% increase, the collection on Tuesday was barely Rs 21 crore. Its global collection is projected to be more than Rs 370 crore, but its local market collection dropped by more than 65% to just Rs 7.25 crore, and its one-week total stood at Rs 215.6 crore.
Devara is Jr. NTR’s first project after the global success of RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli. The coming days will decide the box office fate of Devara. Because there is no big release, film industry experts predicted that this film would perform well in both the Hindi and Telugu regions.
The initial success of Devara can be attributed to Jr. NTR’s huge fan following and Janhvi Kapoor’s charm. The film’s captivating dance moves and Jr. NTR’s energetic performance were particularly praised. Devara’s performance is being closely watched as the film may influence Jr. NTR’s future projects.
