Paris, France—In a monumental stride for Indian representation in global fashion, superstar Deepika Padukone has been appointed as the first Indian juror for the prestigious Louis Vuitton Prize 2025. This historic appointment solidifies her position not only as a cinematic icon but also as a powerful cultural ambassador on the world stage.
Padukone, who has been a global ambassador for Louis Vuitton since 2022, arrived in Paris to fulfill her role alongside a pantheon of fashion legends. The jury panel includes industry titans such as Stella McCartney, Pharrell Williams, and Nicolas Ghesquière, the artistic director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton. Her presence at the judging table is a significant milestone, marking a shift in the global fashion narrative to include diverse voices and perspectives.
In 2022, Deepika Padukone created history by signing global luxury fashion houses like Louis Vuitton and Cartier. After which she became the first Indian in the country to be signed, giving other Indian stars a chance to join this trend in the coming years. At the same time, now Deepika Padukone has added another achievement to her unique journey. She has been declared the ambassador and jury member of Louis Vuitton for the final of the 2025 LVMH Prize and in this way she is going to represent India on this platform. Last year, the actress joined the special jury of the Natalie Portman 2024 LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers, where she presented the main prize to Swedish designer Ellen Hodakva Larsson.
The LVMH Prize 2025 brand has shared a post announcing this. With this post, Brad wrote – “Deepika Padukone for Louis Vuitton: 2025 LVMH Prize Jury Member.
