The fourth Marvel film by Shawn Levy, with Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, has had a great start in India, with a spectacular opening weekend. However, the first Monday’s business proved a major downfall for the film. The movie, observers in the industrial complex ascertained, went down to ₹7 crore on Monday from ₹22.30 crore on Sunday. This drop was particularly drastic because it came from Saturday when the film had witnessed a slight fall from ₹22.65 crores to Rs. 22.30 crore. Currently, the combined gross of “Deadpool & Wolverine” in India equals ₹ 73.65 crore.

Thus, unlike other regions, the movie was a big hit in North America. Nevertheless, according to Comscore Inc., its gross is $211.4 million in ticket sales in the US and Canada over the weekend, which gives it the biggest domestic opening of the year. Furthermore, “Deadpool & Wolverine” generated a record level of R-scaled movie sales for the first weekend, exceeding the parameters of Joker by more than two times. Joker, which is an R-rated movie that gained over one billion dollars in worldwide ticket sales, had surpassed this record earlier.

Following the success of the Deadpool series, the third film will consist of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and will come as the last work of the actor Jackman. Disney, which bought the film and television rights to these characters in the framework of the purchase of the Fox cinematographic studio for $71.3 billion last year, considers them valuable assets, as does the Avatar series.

The released films Deadpool & Wolverine boost MCU again, the movies of which are assembled into a single universe and generally, MCU can be considered the most successful movie franchise in Hollywood with a gross income of over 30 billion dollars.
